If the business ceases operations, the permit holder must clean up all automobiles, scraps, salvage, junk, equipment, storage, parts, and/or any other materials on the site within 30 days. The goal is to restore the area to a safe, clean, and presentable condition to the public. If the business owner fails to fulfill this requirement, the local Health Inspector or Building Inspector will file a claim on the Salvage Yard Restoration Bond. Funds from the surety bond will be used by the County to pay for the cost of restoring the area to its original or better condition.
