Before a contractor may perform construction services in the City of Grovetown, Georgia, various surety bonds may be required by the Planning and Community Development Department, as well as the Streets and Sanitation Department.
If the licensee or permit holder fails to comply with local regulations, causes damages to city/private property, or commits a breach of contract, the applicable bond on file may act as a means of restitution for the Department in question or any other damaged party.
For details on such bonds offered by Jet Insurance Company, please read further below.
At Jet, License/Permit Bonds with limits at $25k and under may be purchased at the guaranteed rates listed in the price chart below. For example, up to a $10,000 bond limit may be purchased instantly at $100 for a one-year bond term.
If you are in need of a higher bond amount, the cost will be a small percentage of the bond’s limit and is based on a soft credit check of the applicant. To get started with your purchase, simply select the “View Your Bond Price” button at the top of the page.

Contractor Bond - Required of the following contractor fields (bond limits are listed as well):
According to the Planning and Community Development Department, the contractor is responsible for upholding the terms and conditions of their permit, as well as following all applicable regulations pursuant to Chapter 5 of the Grovetown, GA Municode. If a violation is committed and the contractor is unable or unwilling to resolve the issue, the Department can choose to file a claim against the surety bond on file.
Right-of-Way Utility Bond - This surety bond may be required by the Street and Sanitation Department as a prerequisite for the performance of utility work within a public right-of-way area. The bond limit is determined by the Department and is likely based on the estimated cost of the construction work to be completed. Regulations stated in Chapter 16 of the Grovetown, GA Municode are to be followed by the permit holder. In cases where damages are caused to city property such as the road system, the Department may file a bond claim to cover the cost of restoring the area to its original or better condition.
License/Permit Bond - Other than the surety bonds listed above, the City of Grovetown’s local government may require additional License/Permit Bonds. If this is the case, contact the Jet team at 855-296-2663 and we will help you out right away!
