The original signed and sealed Septic Systems Installer or Repairer Bond and any additional paperwork must be submitted to the Houston County Environmental Health Department at the following address:

Once licensed, the septic tanks and grease traps installation and/or repairing business must uphold the terms of their licensure and follow all applicable regulations pursuant to the Houston County Health Code. 

If the Environmental Health Department finds that the licensee has performed work that is defective, caused damages, or failed to complete the work up to county or state standards AND refuses to resolve the violation, a claim may be filed against the Septic Systems Installer or Repairer Bond. In most cases, funds from the bond claim will be used as compensation to the damaged party for any losses incurred and/or to hire a new installation/repair business to complete the septic systems work properly.
