Before receiving a license or permit in Paulding County, Georgia, you may need to file a License and Permit Bond—for example, a building moving permit would require such a bond. Some specific bonds that are used within the County are the Contractor’s Code Compliance Bond, Subdivision Performance Bond, and the Subdivision Maintenance Bond.
For bonds that have a limit of $10,000 (like the Contractor’s Code Compliance Bond) or less, Jet offers the bond at just $10 a month or $100 a year, guaranteed.
Bond Term | Cost |
---|---|
Monthly | $10 |
1 Year | $100 |

3 Years | $250 |
If you are applying for the Subdivision Performance or Maintenance Bonds, your bond quote may be dependent on a credit check and/or financial statements. The chart above indicates a starting point for rates.

Contractor's Code Compliance: This is a $10,000 bond that is conditioned on the contractor’s compliance with the Building Codes of Paulding County or other applicable sections of the Paulding County Code of Ordinances and completing any corrections of code violations found during the course of construction or up to one year after the final inspection. The contractor will have 45 days after notice to complete any corrections of violations—if corrections are not completed within that time, corrections will be completed by default of the surety bond. This bond must be renewed annually.
Subdivision Performance Bond: This bond is required for contractors working on construction of streets/roads, easements, waterlines, sewer lines, storm drainage facilities, or other infrastructure improvements. The bond limit must be 125% of the cost of construction.
Subdivision Maintenance Bond: This bond is used as a financial guarantee of a contractor maintaining streets/roads, easements, waterlines, sewer lines, storm drainage facilities, or other infrastructure up to 18 months after final inspection. The bond limit must be a minimum of $15,000 and calculated at $15.00 per linear foot of the street. (Paulding County Code of Ordinances, Section 14-2)
Building Moving Bond: This bond is a requirement for the issuance of a permit for removing a building. It protects the County against damages to streets, highways, curbs, sidewalks, trees, or other public property caused by the moving of the structure. (Paulding County Code of Ordinances, Section 18-253)
For bonds that need to be renewed annually, Jet will send a renewal notice through mail and email. Your renewal may be as simple as just paying the renewal premium to keep your coverage—but if any additional information is needed, our team will reach out to you.
If you need to cancel your bond, send Jet an email at bonddept@jetsurety.com to get the process started. Paulding County requires a 30-day notice before cancellation is effective.
